Where are we heading? To all moms

My blog is specially for Pakistanis, things have changed a lot since last decade with availability of cable channels in every other home. Our social values are changing and so is our overall society. Unfortunately our society is not educated enough to digest all the information they are presented with, result is of course disastrous.

Things that used to be objectionable are not only accepted but unfortunately appreciated now. We were used to of having free male/female friendships in middle class just few years back, but now it seems that its so common that person not have opposite gender friends is being criticized for being backward and "Pando" in our local language.

But what is this so called modernization bringing to us, our kids are getting access to mature content in our homes before their innocent minds can understand. We ourselves are polluting their minds with culture that is not ours, showing them world that is do not match with our social values and our religion.

Young kids can not read Qalma but can sing whole song by heart, they don't know about Namaaz but know what arti and pooja is. Have you ever seen, anyone offering prayers in our pakistani dramas and compare them with Indian soaps, who are in their worship place in every other scene. And these soups are running on our TV sets, whole day, what message are we giving to our young kids? What are we teaching them? Aren't we becoming enemy of our own kids by exposing them to all this just because we want to entertain ourselves?

Just think once, where are we heading? What will these kids be when they will grow up? What values will they hold? Every kids has rights to have proper education, its "Farz" of parents to give him moral values, our duty is not finished by just sending them off to an expensive school and then drop them to another expensive tuition center, thinking we are excellent parents.

Please think and save your kid's innocent mind from devils, I dont mean to say throw away your TV sets, just mean to say be careful what are you showing them on TV. Be around them when they are watching TV.

I will try to keep writing on regular basis, may be my little effort can save some kids.
